From the 2026-06-24 design review. Notifications for events — needs further infrastructure before any UI.

Scope buckets

Subscriptions — subscribe to categories and to hosts/organizers; get notified of new matching events.
Reminders — upcoming-event reminders for tickets you hold.
Changes/updates — notify ticket-holders when an event's time/location/details change.
Free-ticket RSVP — "are you still coming?" confirmation for free tickets (ties into the pending/approval rework).

Architecture (to design)

Prefer Nostr-native delivery per the stack direction (app-specific events / encrypted DMs over relays) rather than bolting on push. Open questions: transport + event kinds, opt-in/preferences storage, delivery + dedup, web vs PWA push fallback. This is an epic/placeholder — break into concrete issues after an architecture pass.
