d79286b145 Update meal arrangements: chef cooks lunch, supper is individual
Some checks failed
Build Preview Deployment / Build Preview (pull_request) Has been cancelled
The chef cooks lunch every day, so lunch is no longer collective food
prep during Karma Yoga — that block is now just karmic chores and
household upkeep. Supper drops the sign-up sheet and is each person's
own responsibility. Also aligns the meal description with the public
site: vegetarian inclusive of honey & local eggs, gluten-free,
nut-free (no "vegan" framing).

Residents will hear these names — list the apartments
(QILIN/Phoenix/ALICORN), rooms (KELPIE/Brownie/Golem), cabins
(Zephyr/Shinook/Xocomil), and named shared areas (Temple's Main
Building, Circus Barn, Greenhouse, Wellness Nook, Mad Hatter's Tea
Party Table). Marks current vs coming-soon status and points

cd6fbc88e8 Sync property facts with Faun's Castle public site
Corrects the postal address (456 Grand Rue de Bellissen, 09000 Bénac),
adds the 11-hectare land note and the Château de Bénac / Faun's Castle
name, fills in spring water as the on-site source (with a
phytopurification system planned in Phase I eco-building), and
specifies the duck breed as runner ducks.

# Cleaning a Shower Drain
If your shower is draining slowly or standing water builds up around your feet, the drain filter is probably clogged with hair and soap residue. Cleaning it takes a few minutes and no special skills.
> [!tip] Do this regularly
> Hair and soap scum build up over time. Cleaning the filter every few weeks (or whenever you notice the water draining slowly) prevents bigger clogs and keeps the pipes clear.
## What you'll need
- A flat tool to lift the cover — a flathead screwdriver, butter knife, or similar
- A pair of pliers (needle-nose work best) to grip the filter
- An old toothbrush or rag, and a bin for the gunk you pull out
> [!note] Different drains, different parts
> The drain shown here has a **metal cover plate** over a **removable plastic filter cartridge**. Some showers on the property have a different drain design (a simple grate, a screw-in cover, a bottle-trap, etc.).
>
> **If your shower drain doesn't look like the one in these photos and isn't documented here yet, ask management for help** rather than forcing anything — and let us know so we can add it to this guide.
---
## Step 1 — Remove the cover
Slide your flat tool under the edge of the metal cover plate and gently pry it up. It just sits in place — it isn't screwed down — so it should pop out with light leverage.
![[shower-drain-1-remove-cover.jpg]]
## Step 2 — Lift out the filter
Underneath the cover is a white plastic filter cartridge seated in the drain collar. Grip the small post (or the edge) in the centre with your pliers and pull straight up to lift the whole cartridge out.
![[shower-drain-2a-remove-filter.jpg]]
![[shower-drain-2b-remove-filter.jpg]]
## Step 3 — Clean the filter
This is where the clog lives. Pull off the trapped hair and soap buildup, then rinse the cartridge thoroughly under a tap and scrub it with the toothbrush until the openings are clear. Put the gunk in the bin — **don't push it back down the drain.**
![[shower-drain-3-clean-filter.jpg]]
## Step 4 — Replace the filter (mind the orientation)
Drop the clean cartridge back into the drain.
> [!important] Orientation matters
> The cartridge has a rubber seal (O-ring) near the top and an angled / shaped end — it only seats correctly one way round. Line it up and press it in until it sits flush, then put the metal cover plate back on top. If it won't seat flat, lift it out and turn it before pushing again — don't force it.
![[shower-drain-4-replace-orientation.jpg]]
Run the water for a few seconds to confirm it drains freely. Done.
---
## Still draining slowly?
If the drain is still slow after cleaning the filter, the clog is further down the pipe. **Don't pour harsh chemical drain cleaners down it** — see the [[water#Septic-Safe Practices|septic-safe practices]] note. Ask management for help instead.
