    First release with genuinely fresh bundles. Releases 0.1.8–0.1.12 shipped a stale dist/ (electron-builder packed the old build), so the systemd-run updater handoff and curl resume downloader were never actually in the app. This build contains them for real. prepackage hook added so npm run package always rebuilds dist first.

    Updater now downloads with curl (HTTP Range resume + internal retries) instead of Chromium's network stack, which corrupted downloads on flaky Wi-Fi ('100% three times, then failed').

    Updater fix: the install handoff now runs via systemd-run so it survives the app's desktop session scope (uwsm/Hyprland was killing it when the app quit — the true root cause of 'update failed').

    Settings → Storage folder now controls where books are saved: new books, Markdown imports, and the export dialog default all land there (was always Documents). Label clarifies it covers books + snapshots.

    Updater handoff fix: installer script now logs every step to ~/.config/Folio/update.log and flattens the packaged tree safely (the old glob-based flatten could leave a half-moved install — the cause of the recent 'update failed'). Launcher also auto-restarts on the rare Chromium abort.
